Adds Swedbank comment, detail
STOCKHOLM, May 14 (Reuters) - Sweden's Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) said on Wednesday it has fined Swedbank SWEDa.ST 12.5 million crowns ($1.29 million) for failing to abide by regulations designed to shield information and activity of importance to national security.
The violations from July 2022 to January 2024 were not intentional, however, and no actual damage had resulted, the FSA said.
Swedbank said in a separate statement that the shortcomings had been remedied more than one year ago.
